Farmers’ Market success

The Spring Farmers’ and Craft Market was a great success on Sunday the 22nd May.  Saturday evening’s torrential rain threatened to dampen proceedings but the weather was kind and the sun shone for most of the day.  Traders and public enjoyed an excellent day.  With 50 stalls offering a variety of locally freshly cooked food and hand crafted goods –  food ranged from burgers, hog roast and pizzas to Caribbean food, pies, cheeses, pickles, chocolate brownies, fudge and much more.  There was a real ale stall to help wash the food down.  There were numerous craft stalls selling home made chocolates, candles, cards, jewellery, clocks and other goods

The crowd were entertained by HarHarthill Morristhill Morris men and Pete Gray, a local musician from the Dronfield based folk group Scuppered.  Thanks to everyone who attended.13244161_525429084308230_6194312745657104150_o
